In addition to what was in the last blog, the kids can consider the following.

Some thoughts to keep up their skill sets while in the house or in the back yards:

1. They can do some video skills (noted below)

2. If you have a concrete or block (garage / other) wall - they can kick off the wall, practicing both passing and receiving.

3. Juggling skills in a small space -

4. practicing all the moves in the back yard - the roll, the sole role, lunge, fake kick, Maradonna, scissors - single and double, the L, the chop, double tap, others.

5. Practice throw ins to a place

On the google drive link below, I attached an excel worksheet to complete every day during this extended time off.  Hoping the kids could do this every day.  Would give them something productive to do and build skills at the same time.  We hope to come back in shape and ready to play.

If the kids do any of these skills for 45-60 minutes a day, their footwork will be excellent when we start again.   Feel free to add to the list and help the kids.

Please pass this link on to the kids.  Hoping to encourage them to share and challenge one another to get better. Hoping they all stay connected and try to have a little fun while in social isolation.  Trying to encourage soccer time and fun in general.

Youtube has a lot of wonderful soccer education sources, be we found the following links to be really helpful.  The Fast feet skills below are excellent. The other link - the Online Soccer Academy - is good, but would only concentrate on the individual skills (dribbling, ball control, juggling, shooting, others).
